The best part of the visit was ultrasound. The set up they have at the office is great for viewing the pictures. They have a big flat screen monitor mounted on the wall so it was really easy to see all the images. The baby is now about 2 cm long which is about 1 inch! It was so amazing to see how much he/she has developed since the last images were taken. You can now see the eyes, ears and nose as well as the arms and legs! It was unbelievable looking at really clear images of our baby’s little hand and fingers! The heartbeat was really strong about 170 bpm. The ultrasound tech said that everything looked totally normal and that our baby was “perfect”! Imagine that…it MUST take after its mamma! Here are the pictures that we were given to take home. The one on the bottom left is of the whole baby…the profile image of its face is so cool. The one on the top right is of just the face profile and the little hand and fingers next to its face. The arrow is pointing to the hand on the picture on the right.

Our First Prenatal Visit
Today Mark and I went to our very first prenatal visit. We REALLY like Dr. Thatcher and we really are blessed to have such good healthcare. Her office is very nice and super convenient to our condo and to work. The visit went really well. We were asked about a million questions about our health but I am pretty sure we passed! We got to sit with Dr. Thatcher for about 20 minutes while she answered all of our questions that we had about the baby. She gave me the green light to keep on running and exercising which was fantastic news for me. She just suggested that I purchase a heart rate monitor and not to let my heart rate exceed 150 bpm. She also said that I could continue to lift weights but just to be sure to listen to my bod
y and let it tell me when to slow down.
