So week 15 was fantastic! Mark and I went on vacation last week and we started the whole thing off visiting Mark’s sister Lyn and her boyfriend Tom out in Phoenix, Arizona. We had such a great time visiting and seeing all the sites. Phoenix is beautiful this time of year. The weather was perfect and you couldn’t have asked for nicer sunshine! We did some hiking while we were out there and let me tell you it was great. We drove to Sedona for the day to see the red rocks and it was magnificent. Mark was even able to play a little golf while we were there…Tom is a golf pro at TPC Scottsdale and so the guys got to play a round!
The second part of our week consisted of flying to Colorado to visit our good friends Haley and Brad. Talk about
a climate change! We stayed in Boulder the first night and let me tell you I am in LOVE! I would move there in a heartbeat! The town is so cool and it is right at the base of the Rocky Mountains! Unbelievable view! On Wednesday we drove up to Vail and stayed at Haley’s parent’s chalet. On the way we stopped off in Golden Colorado and took a tour of the Coors Brewery. Mark loved every minute of it! I would have enjoyed it even more if I would have able to partake in more of the festivities at the end of the tour! It was so awesome. It was snowing when we arrived in Vail and Mark was thrilled with the weather! He was even more excited when he found out that he was going to have an opportunity to fly fish! Thursday was spent touring Vail and Beaver Creek and taking in all the great shopping…mostly looking but some buying! Mark tried his hand at Colorado fly fishing and was successful his first trip out! He caught a nice trout but was kind of enough to release it back into the freezing water. On Friday we spent a glorious day on the ski hill. It was a beautiful day with the high in the low 40’s…you couldn’t have asked for a nicer day on the mountain. The snow was great and the runs were not too crowded. PERFECT! Saturday was a lazy day of fly fishing for the guys and reading and shopping for the girls. We did take some time out of our “busy” schedule to go and video the guys fishing but when we were told that we were “scaring” the fish we decided to go warn up in the local bookstore! All in all it was a fantastic vacation. It was some much needed time away from work and responsibilities.
Our baby now measures about 4 inches long, crown to rump, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces (about the size of an apple).
Its legs are growing longer than its arms now, and he/she can move all of their joints and limbs. That is so cool! My belly is growing and more and more of my clothes are not fitting like they use to. I still feel great…exercising everyday…and even on most days while we were on vacation! We go to the baby doctor on the 7th to get all the genetic testing done. No worries here…our baby is perfect of course!
