This week Brooks will turn 3 months old. Geeze…that was a FAST three months! Looking back at all of the pictures that we have taken of Brooks (it’s well over a 1000 now, literally!) it is amazing how much he has changed.
Brooks is such a chunky monkey now. He weighs over 15 pounds now and my back could attest for that! He is so big and so strong. He holds his head up really well these days and if he could stand up on his own I think he would. He loves to stand up in your lap when you hold him and he is so curious about the world. For heaven sake don’t hold him in such a way that he cannot see out. He gets so fussy and aggravated when you actually sit down to hold him too…he just loves it when you walk around (again so that he can see everything around him!) He is such a funny boy. I think he is going to be a real go-get-er…we are definitely going to have our hand full for sure!
His new thing this week is sitting in his Bumbo chair. He LOVES it! He thinks that he is such a big boy and just smiles at himself the entire time he is in it. He also loves to watch TV now. I swear it had been on every day since he’s come home from the hospital but this week he is like “whoa…now that is cool!” Check him out taking in Rachel Ray as he sits in his Bumbo chair! He is a little 30 Minute chef in the making!
Now I know that some of you are saying “what in the heck is he doing sporting a PURPLE Bumbo chair?” Just so you all know the chair is a hand-me-down from Emily Bischoff. She has three little girls and so it would just figure that they would have one that was purple. But we all know that Brooks is super secure in his manhood and he totally doesn’t mind that it is purple…especially since it was FREE! Maybe we will get Brooks a pink Polo shirt next! Ha!
We had a great weekend last week. My brother Chad and his wife Dana and 3 of their boys came down to Orlando. They all went to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas at Disney. It was way too cold to take Brooks…maybe next year.
Saturday night we got to go over to Disney and take in the Christmas Light Spectacular at Hollywood Studios. It was SO cool and SO amazing! We took tons of pictures but not many with Brooks. He likes the show so much that he ended up sleeping the whole time we were there! Go figure! 
It was so cool that we are actually going back to see it again tonight with my mom. Maybe Brooks will stay awake this time! We also did a little Christmas shopping on Sunday. Mark and I had to really hold ourselves back from buying too much for Brooks…we want to get it ALL for him! But then we remember that he is only 3 months old and he really doesn’t need too many things these days! 
So we are heading to Biloxi this weekend to see Mark’s family. It ought to be an interesting 8 hour trip in the car with the baby. The longest we have ever traveled is 3 hours and that way pretty rough. We are just going to try and take our time and see how it goes. Say a little prayer for us! We leave in the morning and are coming home on Monday. We are looking forward to Christmas next week with our little man. It will be so much fun to share such a special holiday with our family.
