Halloween 2012

Happy Halloween! I have to admit that this year was our best Halloween/Fall to date! I guess the festivities started back around Brooks' birthday when he discovered that our local Pumpkin Patch was back in full swing! I swear he has been asking since last October when the pumpkin patch was going to come back...I always told him it would be back after his birthday and low and behold it was! So we had a full  month of Fall Fun and boy did we have fun! It started with our first visit to the Pumpkin Patch...in the rain! We promised the boys we would take them after nap and we couldn't break a promise even if it was raining! We made it home with our first pumpkin for the front porch and the boys had the Fall bug. From then on, we made it to the Pumpkin Patch at least once a week! Good thing it is literally right around the corner from our house...an easy 5 minute walk! Brooks and Campbell even had preschool class trips to the patch and came home with their every own mini-pumpkins...to add to the growing collection on our front porch! :) I have to say that the holidays are way more fun with kids! They really get into the spirit and make all the work and effort you put into making memories worth all the hassle!

I think this is the perfect "baby" pumpkin!
Brooks' class trip to the Pumpkin Patch...we literally just had to walk these 18 kiddos across the street!
Daddy surprised B and showed up for all the fun!

Halloween was extra fun this year because we had a very special house guest! Our friend Haley flew in from Colorado that afternoon...just in time to go trick or treating with us! Before all the trick or treating fun took place we started off the morning with a super fun Fall Festival at the boys preschool. The boys had a blast playing all the fun games, eating tons of popcorn, decorating their own masks and cookies and they even got to go on a hay ride! Here are the pictures I took of the kids before we headed to the festival! Brooks and Campbell were "rootin' tootin' cowboys" and Charlie was a little black and white cow...every cowboy needs a cow, right???

Charlotte looked so adorable in her leg warmers!
She wasn't so sure about the flower on her head!
My little cow pokes and their little calf!
I just love these kiddos!

Look at these two cuties in their hats!
Let the trick or treating begin! PG surprised the kids by dressing up this year! Brooks and Campbell went nuts when they saw her all dressed up like an Angry Bird!!! Too much fun!!!
Ella and Brooks were so surprised to see an Angry Bird show up at the door!
All the neighborhood preschoolers heading out for an early trick or treat run!
And Charlie slept through her first Halloween!
Our first stop was our sweet neighbor Ms. B...we are so blessed to live in such a great neighborhood!
