Brooks had two big happenings in his life this week. The first and most important is he went back to his ENT and found out that a second set of tubes was needed and he had to get his adenoids removed! This appointment was on Tuesday morning and by noon we were scheduled for surgery and had already gone through pre-op! His surgery was this morning at 7:00. The surgery was quick and relatively painless (so says the doctor) and within 20 minutes he was in recovery. That was the tough part. He was a hot mess by the time they got us in the room with him and he was very unhappy with the nurse that was holding him. I could hear him from out in the hall hollering for his mama!!! Poor guy was so out of sorts and miserable with the IV in his hand...he wanted that thing out! After about 30 minutes and a bag of fluid later we were discharged and on our way home. B was so pitiful when we got home...he just laid on the couch and watched Bob the Builder. Thank goodness for Bob...he makes it all better! As I'm typing this, I know he is feeling MUCH better. He is up and running around, eating a lollipop that his daddy brought home to him! Gotta love a toddler's recovery time! Also HUGE thanks to my sister Becky who stayed over last night to care for Campbell this morning. It wouldn't have gone so smoothly without her help! Oh and thanks to Nyrla, Ella and Tiago for bringing us Chick-fil-a for lunch and Rachel and Andrew for providing a yummy dinner for us. Our friends are the best!
